June 11

Today we tried to get tickets to Wicked but they were 60 pounds... um, that is 120 American dollars. It is too bad. We are still going to try to get discounted tickets for another day. So after we wasted our time trying to get tickets we made our way to the Design Museum and got stopped several times on the way. We stopped at this cathedral and there was this really creepy organ music playing. So we walked around and as we were trying to leave the door that we came in was locked times 3!!! A man came and asked us who our leader was and where he was and told us that as soon as we found him to tell him to come talk to him. So, the door is locked and this man is being scary and mean... it was like something out of a scary movie!!!! So we booked it out of there. The Design Museum was kind of disappointing because the furniture exhibit that I was so excited to see was closed. The Tate Modern museum was next and I saw a Monet and a Picasso and Jackson Pollock art. All along the way to both of these places we saw many great sites. The Tower Bridge was really impressive and also the Gherkin building that I talked about earlier in my blog. Later a few of us went to St. Paul's cathedral but it was kind of expensive so we didnt' go in. We took our pictures in the entry way and left. We then sat outside on the steps... ( where Mary Poppin's feed the birds scene was filmed.) When we were about to leave we decided to take a two story bus. So we all get on and realize that Sharele is missing. So we get off of the bus and go back and look for her and she is no where to be found. We just decide that she knows her way home and so we head home to see if she is there. Luckily she is there and our stressful time of having a lost classmate is over!

I was disappointed in the Design Museum too. If the chair exhibit was closed what else was there to see? It's so small! It could be amazing if they just got more stuff. The Tate Modern, however, is spectacular. It was my favorite museum of the trip! Is Darrin making you do stupid assignments like designing historic water bottles?! It was like being back in design theory!
