June 8

Today we went to Hampton Court and it was beautiful. This is where Henry VIII lived with some of his wives. It was beautiful. My favorite part was the William and Mary wing. I loved all of the wood carving and intricate detail. After this we made our way to Sir John Sloane’s home. I cannot believe how much stuff he packed into that small space. Everything that he had was amazing. The sarcophagus was especially interesting. I cannot believe that it has been down in his basement for that many years. Afterward, we went to the British Museum and there were some amazing things there. London has been an amazing experience and I love soaking it all in.

Going against the rules and taking a picture inside Hampton Court.

How can this pink pinapple not be inspiration for design?

This is a dead body (from a long long time ago) in the British Museum. It still had hair and skin and one of his/her eyeballs were still there too.

Amazing skylight ceiling at the British Museum.
