June 12

Today started off to be a very early day. We rode the train to Wilton House. This is a very beautiful house where the Earl of Pembroke lives. It is very old and well preserved. One of my most favorite parts of that house was the central hall with all of the statues. They were all truly amazing. I was disappointed that we couldn’t take pictures inside though. The gardens were beautiful with that amazing bridge. They also had a fantastic playground with trampolines, a teeter totter, boat swings, slides, and more! Everyone had a fun time there as well. During our visit Katie kept getting many spiders off of me. Oh and I ate one of those disgusting pre-packaged sandwiches. Next we visited Salisbury Cathedral. It was also amazing but my most favorite part of that was going to the top. It was so interesting to see how it was constructed and to hear all about the historic facts and details. It was also kind of scary, especially because I’m afraid of heights! Those exposed spiral staircases were the worst. Hearing the bell ring while in the same room as it was LOUD and interesting. The view from the top of the tower was beautiful, and not as scary as the staircases. We ate dinner at this amazing restaurant and everyone splurged and got something great. We got home and were completely exhausted!
